Wow. This year has been such a good year of growth for this little business! I love looking through pictures from the year and remembering each bride, event, and arrangement. I’ve had a blast this year and can’t wait to see what next year brings! I wanted to share my top favorite designs from 2018. Drumroll, please.

This bouquet makes my Top 5 list, because it was a little out of my comfort zone. I wanted to try something new and I was really proud to pull it off! The joke with my designers is that the “Poppies and Peonies” look is big and bright blooms, so I wanted to try something different. Bam! Something different.

This project was really fun for me for a lot of reasons. I know this is super cheesy, but I designed this bouquet with one of my very favorite freelance designers while we were making flower crowns for the Cattle Baron’s Ball. I remember it, because it was our last time to work together in Lubbock and I was so totally bummed that she had to move away. This bouquet reminds me of her being my hype girl and always talking me off the cliff when things got stressful.
I also loved this project, because Katie Chang did a crazy good job on these photos and I still can’t get over the fact that she is 14 years old! I totally fan-girl over her. I told just about everyone that I wanted to ride her coat-tails, because I know someday she’ll be mega-famous.
So this bouquet made the Top 5, not just because I think it looks great, but for everything that came with it!

Alli and Ruben – I want to be your bff for life. These two people seriously inspire me. Watching them together, hearing their love story, and seeing their genuine love for everyone attending their wedding makes me want to be a better person.
Alli is so perfectly kind, organized, and trusted me 100%. Ruben was polite, had the sweetest dance with his mamma, and filled coolers full of ice and water bottles for his guests. I loved being their day-of-coordinator and designing the flowers for their wedding. They are truly one in a million and I am so lucky I got to work with them this year!

I could go on and on about Deanna and her perfect wedding! I’ll save it for its own blog post, but for now I’ll just tell you why this wedding made my Top 5. First of all, Deanna is the best. She is fun, organized, chill, and had an amazing vision for her day. I loved the bright colors of her flowers and I can’t stop thinking about the velvet blue tablecloths! I’m a dork, I know. Anyone else get excited about tablecloths?
The hoops. The arch. Her bouquet. Everything was so fun to create and even more fun to see in pictures. I also loved this day, because I brought my family along for a little piece of the set-up and I had a moment where I thought, “Dang! I am totally rocking this working mom thing.” That didn’t last long, but it was fun to think it for a short time. 🙂
Deanna, you will always be one of my favorite brides.

This project was a serious labor of love right before I went into labor! This is number one, because I got to design every piece of it and I adore how it turned out. It’s pretty. That’s it. It’s just pretty.
Working with Aric and Casey was a blast and I had so much fun the day we shot this. I was 7 months pregnant, so I didn’t have the most fun EVER, but it was exciting, entertaining, and I was on a serious design high.
Another big thank you to all of the vendors and models that contributed to this shoot! You can check them all out in this blog post.
This year has been an amazing year. Personally, it has been a trying year that has stretched and pushed me. From our foster care journey to the birth of our miracle baby, I am full of gratitude for everything the Lord has blessed me with.
Cheers to 2018 and I can’t wait to see what 2019 brings.
