We loved putting together this adorable in-home baby shower for a beautiful, expecting mother! The guest of honor is welcoming a little brother for her little girl and we were so excited to be a part of her celebration! When deciding on a theme, we knew we didn’t want to do a traditional little boy theme. Mustaches, mountain man, and tribal are all themes that we are familiar with, so we decided to do something a little different! The inspiration for this party came from our friend’s daughter’s love for animals. Also, the baby’s father is in graduate school and does a lot of work with animals. We thought this was a perfect way to personalize the shower just for them! We also didn’t want to run with the usual pastel, cartoon-looking animal theme, so we combined animals with copper for a modern feel. After pairing it with black and white, we reached our masculine tone, while keeping it playful with animals! Is it really an animal party without plenty of greenery? We created a black and white balloon garland with touches of Italian ruscus woven throughout. We also added touches of greens in the living room and made a nice, full, tall arrangement for the table decorations. We incorporated geometric copper garlands, spray painted the animal figures copper, and found a way to incorporate black and white wherever we could! We had a great spread of food with shredded barbecue sliders, fruit and fruit dip, a cheese and meat tray, and homemade Oreo cheesecake bites. The food alone rocked our world! The party favors were my very favorite! I thought they were hilarious. Maybe it’s just me? To go along with the animal and outdoor/jungle theme, we provided little planters for each guest with a tag that said, “Follow Dad’s lead and plant your seed.” Funny, no?If you need help planning your next party, shoot us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org!
